Our Story

Founded in 2025 by two adventurous minds, J & J, Apres Love was born from a shared curiosity and a passion for rewriting the narrative on pleasure.

During their travels, they noticed how countries like the Netherlands and France openly embrace self-care where pleasure is seen as essential to well-being, not a whispered taboo. In contrast, they found themselves in a dimly lit adult store, hoods up, exchanging an awkward glance with another equally shy shopper.

And that’s when it hit them. Why should something so universally desired be hidden in shame? After all, even Cleopatra, in 51 BC, indulged in self-pleasure with confidence, proving that intimacy has always been an integral part of human experience. It was time to reclaim that narrative.

With a background in nursing, J brings an evidence-based approach to sexual wellness prioritising personal empowerment, emotional well-being, and the use of body-safe materials.

Together, they founded Apres Love, a world dedicated to dismantling outdated prejudices, redefining the conversation around intimacy, and empowering both individuals and relationships.

Inspired by the après-ski culture, the name embodies the idea of pleasure as a reward whether after the grind, an adventure, or a shared moment of connection. Apres Love is an invitation to unwind, explore, and embrace intimacy without hesitation.

All of our skin products, including lubricants and massage candles, are uniquely crafted in New Zealand to uphold the highest standards of body-safe quality and care. Our pleasure pieces are ethically produced in China, where we ensure the same dedication to sustainability, ethical practices, and safety.

As conscious consumers long before becoming Apres Love’s founders, we’ve built ethical labour practices and sustainability into our foundation from day one. Every product is designed to last, carefully packaged in our signature book-like boxes for a discreet, elegant experience that reclaims intimacy free from shame, full of celebration.

Welcome to Après Love. Let’s turn the page on intimacy, together.
